Earlier this week Blue Offshore’s Loading Tower LT02 (including a 15Te Tensioner on top, and a stand-alone containerized 10Te deck Tensioner) has arrived in Angola for Chevron/CABGOC’s Evolve Power Connectivity project – Block 0 close to Sonils Port, Luanda.
The equipment will be used onboard the Normand Energy to install subsea power cables in shallow water. Onboard the Loading Tower will be positioned with its loading arm centralized above two static tanks.
The cable lay campaign will start beginning of 2023 for the installation of several subsea power cables with total length of 56 km. Expected duration is 4 months. Blue Offshore will support the project with its inhouse expertise in cable handling and will supply experienced crew during the entire project.
We are looking forward to a successful project execution and continue our relationship with Petrolog/Operatec and their client Chevron.
