General description
The project/installation engineer works within the Engineering Department. The department has the responsibility for all preparatory work for our projects, such as analyses, design, installation procedures, material take-off, method statement, offshore engineering. This is a permanent staff position.
Job specific duties and tasks on a project
- Prepare the engineering planning
- Produce the analysis, design, engineering and associated documents
- Interface with customer, project team and external parties
- Identification and specification of installation equipment (onshore/offshore)
- Organise vessel mobilisations
- Assist offshore on installation vessel
- Assist proposal team during pre-qualification, proposals and tenders
Experience
- BSc or MSc in civil/mechanical/structural engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience with cable, offshore construction, umbilical installation
- Good understanding of engineering calculations, design and engineering
- Good interpersonal and team player skills
- Good decision-making skills
